Got a new one for you to start the year off right. It's a song of compassion, which the world certainly needs. While enjoying some of the more obscure tracks from Woody Guthrie's astonishing Library of Congress recordings, I was moved to write a Dust Bowl ballad of my own. Needless to say, I dedicate this song to the thousands of survivors who suffered those horrors, only to be ridiculed, exploited, and chastised upon their arrival out West. Also, here's to Woody Guthrie, the prairie poet who gave voice to their suffering. I couldn't ask for a better muse! Peace!
NOTE: This song was based on a previously-posted lyric called, "'Tween Somethin' And Nothin', which has been deleted since the new lyric is incorporated into this new song's page. Thanks!
