Well, I climbed the highest mountain
And I cried out to the sea
Would I ever find a lover
Was it even meant to be?

How I waited for an answer 
Yeah, I waited quite a while
Till I had a chance encounter
With a flaxen beauty's smile. 

See those eyes ablaze with starlight
Feel the aching in her soul
Could she ever come to love me
Could she ever make me whole?

So much distance lies between us
Yet I feel her next to me
When I rise to meet the morning
When my dreaming sets me free.

She’s the woman I have longed for
In my teary-eyed appeals
But the pain of separation
Threatens everything I feel.

What I’d give to taste her kisses
What I'd give to touch her skin
So much love lies waiting for her
So much love lies here within.
