Like The Wind

@ 2002 Jeffrey E. McCaskill. All Rights Reserved.

A cool wind blows across my windowsill
It kisses me, it kisses who it will
Sometimes I wish that I were like the wind
Steal a kiss and then be gone again
I know that I would never be lonely then.

I used to mock the "losers" at the bar
Never bothered knowing just who they are
Now, I'm sitting there along with them
Never thought I'd be alone again
Oh Lord, I wish I could be like the wind.

SOLO

So many souls, but how to find the one
You know the rules, just keep on playing, 'til you've won
Meanwhile, there are millions all alone
Getting by the only way they know
On any given evening, they wait by the phone.

A cool wind blows across my windowsill
It kisses me, it kisses who it will
Sometimes I wish that I were like the wind
Steal a kiss and then be gone again
I know that I would never be lonely then.
