The idea behind this song arose out of a minor spat I had with my partner. In the middle of it, I started to laugh, as I thought about how minor this would seem twenty years from now, looking back. So, after a few days of pondering that perspective, the lyrics began, little by little, to reveal themselves to me.
The music, on the other hand, involved a much longer process of discovery, refinement, practice, rinse, repeat. I'm just glad the lyrics lent themselves to this guitar work as they took shape. Hope you like it! Peace!
