I debated whether to write this article for months before finally deciding to flesh it out. Like many, I've felt, since Trump's election, that a dark and foreboding shadow has fallen over American Politics. Nowadays, we find ourselves talking about versions of the truth, when once there was only one. Furthermore, Trump's dictatorial manner with the press has sadly spilled over and inspired members of Congress, as well.
Leaders who were once compelled to explain issues, even when it was uncomfortable, now simply make the retort, "Fake news!" and continue to their limos. I've now gotten over the shock of it all, and want to help navigate our way back to a semblance of civility. This article is but a first step in this effort. Enjoy!
