Happy Valentine's Day, everyone! This is a musical valentine for my heartsong, Tamara, who truly is my "muse for every song unsung." She is my light, my love, my reason, my joy. In fact, I never truly believed in the term 'soulmate' until I met her. And knowing her, as I have, these past few wonderful years hasn't changed a thing: I still get breathless when we kiss. Happy Valentine's Day, my angel, and know that you are ever in my heart and on my mind!

This song was written shortly after I left the Army in 2005, but it was many years before I finally felt like recording it. This is dedicated to my fallen military brothers and sisters, and to those still struggling to make sense of it all. Peace be with you...
First love is so hard to capture in song, but I, nevertheless, thought I'd try. It's somewhat autobiographical in nature, so I hope I was able to convey the emotions I remember from that tender time. Hope it touches you on some level. Cheers!
I wrote this song years ago when I was really struggling with believing in myself, especially when considering any artistic endeavors. I know I'm not alone in this, and hope it gives some hope to everyone who struggles to keep their own doubting demons in check...
This song was a painful one to compose, as it deals with the agony of long-distance relationships, and the pain of waiting to truly be together. I'm so glad those trying days are behind me, but I know many of you still struggle with the issue, so this one is dedicated to the truly devoted out there who know this pain all too well.
Tried to capture with the sparest language what it feels like to experience a relationship implosion. Like the purity of some of the imagery I discovered. Hope you do, too. Let me know what you think…
This is a cover of a lovely Blaze Foley song entitled, "Moonlight Song." I hope I did it justice. Moonlight Song is a track from Foley's stellar posthumously-released album, "The Dawg Years," which you can purchase here: fatpossum.com/products/the-dawg-years. There are precious few recordings of this obscure, immensely-talented artist available, and this album contains some of his very best work. Highly recommended!
Hey guys, check out my new song, "Rain, Rain," when you get the chance! It's the first original track of an intended four-track EP for children that will hopefully help cultivate an appreciation for this marvelous planet, but also expose young listeners to a variety of musical styles. This one has a decidedly Carribean flair to it, but I hope to compose blues, jazz and folk songs to complete the series. Anyhow, it was a joy to record, and I hope that shines through in the final mix. Take care, and enjoy the summer, as it will be gone before we know it!
After some deliberation, I decided to pull a few of the recordings that had been posted here, primarily because these songs were personal in nature, so they didn't have much value to anyone outside myself, my family, and a few close friends. Secondarily, they were all recorded on the fly with just my laptop, so the sound quality was not up to snuff. The songs removed were: Bittersweet Departure, Ode To Johnny, Tamara's Blues, and A Darkness, Deep And Wide. Thanks for your understanding, and know that I'll be recording many new songs over the coming months, so stop by often. Take care...
This song was the most difficult I ever had to write, as it deals with the end of my marriage, some four years ago. Although I tried, words cannot adequately describe what it felt like to pack and drive away from those you love and the only life you knew. However, this is also about healing and renewal, so if you're going through a breakup or divorce, I hope you can take some comfort in it. Take care, and thanks so much for listening...
